Interdistrict Transfers

The Eureka Union School District is always eager to welcome new students from neighboring districts.

The initial priority window for Interdistrict transfer requests will be open from January 14 to March 31, 2025.

The principals will begin to review complete registrations at this time and approve as many as possible.  A complete registration means that all required documents have been provided to the requested school, and the interdistrict transfer request has been received by out district.

We will continue to accept interdistrict transfer requests after the window closes; however, we cannot guarantee the desired placement of your student(s), as it will depend on the impact at the grade or program level. Additionally, submitting the request after the initial deadline may delay our ability to provide enrollment information until closer to the start of the school year.

To begin the interdistrict transfer process, complete the transfer request form from your district of residence. This form is often available on the district's website - simply search for "interdistrict transfer" to locate it quickly. Typically, you will need to upload supporting documents that validate your request, along with any additional information the district may require.

For new students entering grades 7-8, please obtain and provide your requested school with the following documents from the student’s current or most recent school:
    • Academic transcript (including current grades)
    • Attendance report
    • Disciplinary record

Your next step is to please proceed with completing our online registration. There’s no need to wait for your district to release your students before starting this step.  To begin the registration process, please follow this LINK to our Enrollment/Registration page.

Students who do not reside within the EUSD boundaries are accepted on a space available basis. The student must maintain good academic standing, good attendance and proper behavior as determined by the principal of the school of assignment.

Students enrolled for the 2025 - 2026 school year will also receive an Annual Student Information Update notification which allows you to enter more detailed information about your child for the start of each new school year such as current health concerns and emergency contact information.
